have you ever thought about erasers. like how the fuck do they do the thing

When you write on paper, graphite is worn off the pencil tip, and the graphite particles interlock with the ridges on the paper.
The graphite sticks to the eraser’s surface better than it sticks to the paper, so when you rub it on the paper, the graphite touches the eraser and microscopically sticks to it.
